There are plenty of methods to find squares of numbers. Here, we are going to discuss How to find square of a number ending with 5 ?

Problems For Practice.
➤ Divide the result space into 2 parts as shown.
➤ In 2nd part write square of 5 i.e. 25.
➤ In first part write the product of remaining number with it's successor.
For Ex. (65)2
Step 1 :- As the given number ends with -5 we will write 25 in the 2nd part.
Step 2 :- In first part we will calculate product of remaining number (i.e. 6) with it’s successor (i.e. 7) which is 42
Final Result :- 4225.
For Ex. (135)2
Step 1 :- As the given number ends with -5 we will write 25 in the 2nd part.
Step 2 :- In first part we will calculate product of remaining number (i.e. 13) with it’s successor (i.e. 14) which is 182.
